House Passes Bill to Delay Overtime Rule

Sept. 30, 2016—On Wednesday, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a measure to delay the mandatory overtime pay bill by six months, according to a report by Reuters.

The legislation was passed on a partisan vote of 246-177 in favor of moving the rule’s effective date from Dec. 1 to June 1, according to the report.
