After 31 years in business, D&D Automotive Repair will change hands but remain in family ownership.

David and Denise Books, who have run D&D Automotive Repair for more than three decades, are passing on ownership of the business.

The Books' son, Shawn, is picking up ownership and will carry on the name. A profile from the The Freeman in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, says it has been Shawn's lifelong dream.

While technicians have come and gone over the years, Shawn and his brother Christoper have been steadyily gaining experience at the shop, according to the article. Shawn took special interest and completed an automotive progra at the local technical college. He later worked in the shop and front office of the shop and is ready to take on ownership.

He told the news outlet that as he took on new responsibilities, he kept his eye on the prize.

"My end goal was to keep his business going and hopefully own it someday," Shawn told the outlet.
