Bosch Announces New High-Pressure Leak Tester

March 31, 2017

March 30, 2017—Bosch on Tuesday announced the unveiling of its new HPT 500 High-Pressure Diagnostic Leak Tester, offering high-pressure diagnostic leak protection for heavy-duty vehicles and turbocharged passenger cars. HPT 500 provides a solution for HD vehicle diagnosis and repair by producing a larger volume of smoke necessary for the larger systems.

The machine offers leak protection up to 30 psi, producing higher pressures than standard machines and simulates truck boost to safely test with the engine off. HPT 500, which debuted at the 2017 TMC Meeting & Exhibition, will be available in North America in April. The HPT 500 was designed to be able to test an entire system in 15 minutes. The tester includes a bottle of vapor producing fluid and a remote control key fob, among other accessories.

Bosch also has an HPK 200 accessory kit that’s meant to service smaller HD fleets and medium-duty applications. Some of that kit’s accessories include: a halogen inspection light, vapor producing fluid, and a couple PowerSmoke adapters.
