AutoNation CEO Wins Mercedes-Benz Star Driver Award

Aug. 17, 2015—On Saturday, Mike Jackson, CEO of AutoNation, was presented with the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Star Driver Award.
According to USA Today, the award recognizes an individual who has made great contributions to motorsports and the automobile industry and is given out annually as a part of Monterey Car Week.
Jackson began his career in the late 1950s when his car broke down and he could not afford to have it repaired. Needing the money and the knowledge he got a job as an apprentice mechanic at a local body shop, according to USA Today.
