AutoNation December Vehicle Sales Up 15 Percent

Jan. 4, 2013—AutoNation, the largest car retailer in America, announced today that its new vehicle sales for December 2012 grew 15 percent from December 2011, totaling 27,958 units, according to a company press release_notes.

Overall sales for 2012 were up 20 percent from 2011, according to the press release.

Imports were the top segment for the retailer, selling 13,450 units in December 2012, an 18 percent jump from December 2011.
