May 13, 2013—Aftermarket auto parts retailer Autoplicity recently announced that it has partnered with Amazon Payments for the transactions on its website.
Autoplicity.com, which was launched in 2011, specializes in performance-related aftermarket car parts, and Amazon Payments now accounts for more than 25 percent of transactions on the site.
"Having Amazon Payments on our website puts a big brand like Amazon behind a small brand like Autoplicity," said Sean McWherter, cofounder of Autoplicity. "When you can put a household name like Amazon behind a business like ours, it helps the confidence factor with the shopper.”
Co-founder Eddie Lichstein said that payments with credit cards have decreased and sales conversions have increased since Autoplicity began offering Amazon Payments.
