Drivers Set to Break Transcontinental Driving Record in Autonomous Vehicle

Oct. 21, 2015—Today, a trio of drivers will break the transcontinental driving record from Los Angeles to New York in an autonomous vehicle using Tesla’s Autopilot technology released last week.
The three-person team is made up of Deena Mastracci, Carl Reese and Alex Toy. The estimated time of arrival at the finishing point, Red Ball Garage in New York, is 9 a.m. EST.
