Aug. 29, 2016

Aug. 29, 2016—Snap-on announced Monday the introduction of the MODIS Edge, a combination full-function scan tool and scope/graphing meter.

The tool has a five-second boot up and features Instant ID, which automatically reads the VIN when connected to the vehicle. Other features include a nine foot OBD cable and dedicated SMX operating system.

The Vehicle System Report, for model year 2008 and newer vehicles, displays a complete view of diagnostic results for all available systems. Additional coverage for domestic, European and Asian makes extends to vehicles as far back as model year 1980.

“Our promise to customers is we will keep pace with the dynamic auto industry. We will continue to enhance and improve our diagnostic equipment. We will ensure that every investment that technicians make with us is the most sophisticated, advanced technology solution available,” said Leian Wunderlich, marketing manager, Snap-on Diagnostics. “The new MODIS Edge follows this promise, giving technicians the confidence that they can handle any job that comes in.”
