Jan. 31, 2014—New Wagner ThermoQuiet CeramicNXT brake pads are now available for several late-model vehicles, according to a Federal-Mogul announcement.
New pad sets have been introduced for the 2014 Mazda 6 and several other popular late-model foreign and domestic vehicles.
According to a press release_notes, each new ThermoQuiet CeramicNXT pad features a Wagner OE21 low-copper friction formulation that is 35 percent quieter, offers 15 percent more stopping power, and up to 40 percent greater fade resistance than previous Wagner formulations.
"Wagner OE21 formulations deliver the best overall friction performance ever offered in a Wagner ThermoQuiet pad," said Christopher Battershell, director of braking in the North America segment of Federal-Mogul vehicle components. "This exciting new technology raises the bar for all replacement ceramic brake pads for today's foreign-nameplate and domestic models."
