35 States Approved for Biden's EV Charging Network

In a speech at the Detroit Auto Show, President Biden pushes his EV charging network program forward.


Sept. 16, 2022—President Biden told attendees at the Detroit Auto Show that the federal government is releasing funds to 35 states for the installation of EV charging hardware. The news was confirmed by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.  

The program as spelled out by the Biden Administration provides $1.46 billion in funding from 2022 through 2026, cites Green Car Reports

Unapproved states as of yet are Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Texas, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
