Sept. 14, 2022—The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence will end its summer testing registration period on Sept. 30.

According to a press release, individuals who register for their tests will have 90 days to schedule an appointment to take the tests, regardless of whether they registered on the first day of the period or they plan to register on the last day.

Registration can be done on the ASE website. Upon logging in to their account, individuals can click on "orders" and "store" to find their respective tests, add them to the cart, check out and complete registration. ASE testing is available at almost 450 test centers throughout the year. Testing can be conducted during the daytime and nighttime as well as on the weekends.

Individuals with unexpired automobile certifications of A1-A9 can use the ASE renewal app to recertify.
