Nov. 9, 2021—Sun Auto Tire and Service has acquired Martin Tire company, the largest tire and wheel distributor in the southwest.
The acquisition includes two New Mexico locations and six Texas locations. The acquisition increases Sun Auto Service operations to 237 tire and service stores.
“While our growth strategy this year has included regions outside of the southwest United States, we believe that capitalizing on acquisition opportunities in and adjacent to our existing markets strengthens our reputation as the most reliable company in automotive care,” Tony Puckett, CEO of Sun Auto Tire & Service, said in a statement. “Martin Tire Company has been a trusted service provider for residents in Texas and New Mexico for almost 80 years, truly making them an ideal addition to the Sun Auto Tire & Service family.”
