Aug. 30, 2021—A New York repair shop manager was shot dead and another employee injured following an altercation at the shop, the New York Daily News reported.

Mario Gonzalez, a 33-year-old manager of NYC Auto Repair, was the one killed. The police believe the shooter works or used to work at the auto shop and “had it in” for the manager. Another employee, William Fuentes, 43, who was struck in the back, is in stable condition.

“Mario was a giant teddy bear with gangster clothes. He put up this facade of a hard New York kid, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly,” Gonzalez’s brother-in-law Asriel Gonzalez told the outlet.

The shooter, while caught on video, has not been identified or found.
