Florida Repair Shop Offering COVID Vaccines On-site

Those who receive a shot will be offered a free oil change.

Aug. 26, 2021—A Florida repair shop owis offering COVID-19 vaccines at his shop, Florida Today reported.

A Midas location in Cocoa, Fla., will offer Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to those interested in an event on Friday. Those who receive a shot will be offered a free oil change. The inspiration came from owner Ron Katz, who is immunocompromised himself.

Katz said his goal with the event is to do "something different."

He has noticed other businesses offering discounts for those already vaccinated who present their vaccination card, but he wanted to be the one to bring the vaccination to the people.

"My attitude was, if you want the vaccine, I want to be able to offer it," he told the publication. "If you don't, that's up to you."
