Valeo North America has plans for a new Alabama manufacturing site that is expected to bring new industry jobs to the area.
Jan. 28, 2021—Valeo North America, one of the world’s largest auto suppliers, is planning to invest $5 million in an Alabama facility that will create 70 jobs, the Alabama NewsCenter reported.
The new facility will be located in Jefferson County in the city of Bessemer, Ala.
“Automotive manufacturing is a vital part of Jefferson County’s economy that continues to see immense growth annually,” Jefferson County Commissioner Steve Ammons said in a statement. “I am excited to see Valeo creating 70 above-average-wage jobs in Bessemer.”
Valeo North America has 11 production sites and three development centers, with nearly 5,000 employees.
