Dec. 1, 2020—Gestamp, a Spanish auto parts manufacturer, plans to expand its operations in Chattanooga, Tenn. and create new jobs in the process, reports the Associated Press.
With an investment of $94.7 million, the company plans to expand its two plants in Chattanooga to add capacity for electric vehicle production. The expansion is expected to create 260 new jobs over five years.
The company, which provides structural metal stampings and welded assemblies to automotive equipment manufacturers, currently operates more than 100 plants around the world.
