Aug. 13, 2020—Ford Motor Company has partnered with the Michigan Science Center to create the center's first autonomous vehicle exhibit. Built by Ford, the exhibit offers a "vehicle of the future" that museum guests can interact with in order to learn more about autonomous technology.

According to Detroit Business Journal, the simulation shows guests how autonomous vehicles make decisions without a human driver using the data collected through 3-D maps, cameras and LiDAR.

“The Ford autonomous vehicle exhibit demonstrates how science and technology is being used in Michigan to transform the automotive industry and the future of driving,” says Christian Greer, president and CEO of Michigan's Science Center.

The exhibit is open now and sure to please the museum's 250,000 yearly visitors.
