Aug. 1, 2019, ST. PAUL, MINN.—With an eye toward the future of the automotive aftermarket, 10 Missions Media, publisher of Ratchet+Wrench, announced Thursday that it will host the inaugural ADAPT: OEM Repair Panel, sponsored by OEC, in Minneapolis on Oct. 2, prior to the start of the 2019 Ratchet+Wrench Management Conference.
With panelists representing the world’s most progressive automakers, this brand-new event is focused on the shifting industry landscape and how advancements in vehicle technology and design directly impact repairability—and the effect these changes have on the businesses that repair and service those vehicles.
“The goal of ADAPT is to provide an independent forum for shop operators to hear directly from and interact with OEM representatives about the most progressive and pressing topics in terms of vehicle design; repair, maintenance and diagnostics; and overall transportation trends,” said Bryce Evans, vice president of content and events for 10 Missions Media, which also publishes FenderBender and National Oil & Lube News. “Independent shop operators—the core audience for both FenderBender and Ratchet+Wrench—rarely, if ever, are given the opportunity to have direct interaction with OEM representatives and have their questions and concerns addressed; this discussion will allow that to take place.”
While considered a stand-alone event, the ADAPT: OEM Repair Panel will be held at the Hilton MSP Airport/Mall of America, the same location as the Ratchet+Wrench Management Conference. Attendance is only open to those registered for the conference, or for the FenderBender Management Conference, held Sept. 30–Oct. 2 in the same location.
The Ratchet+Wrench Management Conference is a three-day educational event that includes more than 50 presentations from 30-plus speakers who represent some of the most progressive and successful operations in the industry. For more information or to register, visit rwconference.com.
