Sept. 7, 2017—Ratchet+Wrench has announced the topic of its panel and the names of the panelists for the Ratchet+Wrench Management Conference.
“Make Maintenance a Moneymaker” will be moderated by Donny Seyfer and leading shop operators Ryan Clo, Frank Leutz and Rissy Sutherland will be on the panel. The panel will dive into strategies for making maintenance profitable by offering can’t miss, repeatable strategies that shops of any size can use.
Seyfer is the co-owner of Seyfer Automotive in Wheat Ridge, Colo., and is the Immediate past chairman of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). Seyfer has provided training for NAPA Autotech, ASA, The Auto Alliance, WorldPac, MACSVISION, ATE, NACE, CARS and others.
Clo has turned around his Cincinnati business, Dubwerx Inc., from a small struggling operation to one of the midwest's most successful shops. Clo has grown his business to include two facilities and now coaches other shop operators to help them down the path he followed. Clo will also deliver “The Art of the Pivot.”
Leutz is the owner of Desert Car Care of Chandler. In addition, Leutz is also a member of ASA’s mechanical operations committee, host of WrenchNation car talk radio show, is an industry consultant and coach, and runs a successful YouTube channel. Leutz will also participate in a Talk during the conference.
Sutherland is the co-founder of Honest-1 Auto Care. Growing up in the industry, she’s done everything from changing oil and rebuilding transmissions to writing and implementing the training and operation systems for all 300 auto repair franchise locations for Moran Industries—the automotive giant that purchased her family's shop. Sutherland will also deliver a Super Session called “Nothing But Net.”
The Ratchet+Wrench Management Conference, scheduled from Sept. 24-26 in Chicago, will include educational sessions, deep-dive workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities all aimed at helping shop owners and managers make money, save money and work smarter. Conference sessions and speakers were pulled from the best Ratchet+Wrench magazine content from the last several years.
