Applications for the MWACA Student Scholarships have now opened, according to a press release.
Funded by Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA) and Technicians of Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF), at least four students pursuing a career in the automotive industry will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to help cover tuition and expenses. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is December 3, 2023.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours in an automotive technology program at an accredited college or vocational school located in the Midwest. Applicants must have earned a minimum 2.0 GPA in high school or maintain a 2.0 GPA at a college of votech, if currently enrolled.
High school seniors currently enrolled in a votech automotive program who plan to register and attend a college automotive technology program in the summer or fall of 2024 are also encouraged to apply.
Along with the scholarship, those chosen will also receive a weekend training pass to the VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo event, where they will have the opportunity to attend professional-level technical training. Scholarship recipients and their instructors will be recognized at VISION's Saturday evening awards dinner as well.
