VISION HiTech Training & Expo Partners With Promotive for Technician Training

Auto pros can submit 1-2 minute videos explaining why they entered and stay in the industry; for each submission, $50 is donated to the VISION Scholarship Fund.

VISION HiTech Training & Expo has teamed up with Promotive to raise funds for future automotive technicians through a new campaign where auto professionals share their own stories, as shared in a press release.

The #BehindTheToolbox movement is asking automotive service professionals across the industry to share a short video explaining why they entered—and why they stay in—the automotive field. For every eligible video submitted, Promotive will donate $50 to the VISION Scholarship Fund, which provides future technicians with access to education and hands-on training at the VISION conference.

Participants must record a short video, 1–2 minutes, sharing why they’re in the industry, or what inspires them to keep going. They’ll then upload their video to the official website, and are encouraged to tag and challenge others in their network to join as well. Those who submit videos will be entered in a raffle, too.

“We know how powerful personal stories can be,” said Sheri Hamilton, VISION conference manager. “By showing what drives the people behind the tools, we hope to inspire others to see a future for themselves in this industry—and make it more accessible through scholarship funding.”
