ACDC to Host Hybrid Training

Oct. 6, 2014

Oct. 6, 2014—The Auto Career Development Center (ACDC) announced recently that it will hold a new session of its course on repairing hybrid vehicles.

Entitled, “Up Your Voltage,” the six-day course offers hands-on learning in the growing industry of hybrid auto repair. The class is limited to 16 people, with four students getting assigned one car and instructor for the duration of the class.

Held just outside of Providence, R.I., the class runs $4,000, which includes everything except airfare.

The sessions cover hybrid history and theory, as well as working hands-on with seven hybrid vehicles: the Ford Escape, Honda Civic, Honda Insight, Toyota Prius Gen I and II, Chevy Volt, and the electric Nissan Leaf. Attendees are expected to leave the hybrid “boot camp” an expert in servicing and caring for hybrid vehicles, according to a release.

More information on the class and registration can be found on the ACDC website.
