Technology. To some, it can be a frightening word. It means more complexity in vehicles; more sophistication in repairs; more expenses to your business. Technology means change—and for some, change is feared.

According to our data, though, not many of those folks are in the automotive care industry. In our inaugural Shop Technology survey, nearly 700 industry professionals gave Ratchet+Wrench a glimpse at how technology affects their businesses. And from electronic management systems to diagnostic scan tools to telematics, the vast majority of shops are benefiting from the prevalence of technology. Technology is changing the auto care industry, and those changing with it are flourishing.
