AMI Names New President

May 4, 2015

May 1, 2015—Jeff Peevy will join the staff of the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) as president beginning May 18. Peevy has had a distinguished career at the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), an international, not-for-profit training organization designed to provide collision repairers with proper knowledge and training.

In his new role with AMI, Peevy will assume responsibility for all operations. Peevy, who is regarded as one of the collision repair industry’s leading advocates of knowledge management and organizational culture of learning, will apply his expertise to AMI. He plans to extend AMI’s reach in the industry, working with industry leaders, instructors, companies, state associations and other training entities to ensure AMI meets the training and education needs of the industry.

Dan Risley, president/executive director of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and a member of AMI’s board of trustees, said Peevy’s rich background in organizational development offers just what AMI needs to position it for strong growth in the future.

“Jeff has a proven track record of leading organizations and teams through change. His wealth of knowledge and experience during his time at I-CAR and in the industry will serve him well in his new role,” said Risley. “We expect great things from AMI because Jeff’s passion for education and delivering results are apparent to all who know him. AMI and ASA will be working together more closely to ensure we are aligned with the needs of the industry.”

Peevy is a 34-year industry veteran and has spent the past 20 years involved with education and research. He serves on the board of directors for the National Auto Body Council, and is a member of both the Collision Industry Foundation board of trustees and Society of Organizational Learning.
