Difference Makers

May 1, 2015
Who drives success in your shop?

I’ve heard it from many shop operators: Auto care is a people business. It’s not all about fixing cars. It’s about helping people through rough situations.

Doing so requires technical know-how and skills, yes, but more than anything, it requires good people who “get it,” who are driven to get customers back on the road and their lives back in order.

These individuals are the difference makers, the ones who create success in their businesses and advance the entire auto care industry. Once a year, we ask readers to share with us who the difference makers are in their lives. It is that time once again—time to send in your nominations for our annual Ratchet+Wrench All-Star Awards.

Now in it’s third year, the awards program recognizes inspiring auto care professionals in positions spanning the industry, from shop owner to technician to vendor to educator. Every nomination is carefully reviewed by our editorial team, and winners—in addition to receiving a physical award—are profiled in our November issue. The outpouring of nominations in the program’s first two years has been impressive and it’s a testament to the great work being done each day.

Chances are, you know or work with someone who has had a positive influence on you, your company, or the industry at large. Someone who deserves recognition on a grand stage. This is your opportunity to show them how meaningful their contributions are.

To nominate or for more information, go to ratchetandwrenchawards.com. The deadline for nominations is July 24. I’m looking forward to learning about the difference makers in your life.
