Tesla’s new mobile services are already underway with trials in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
July 16, 2019—Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently announced Tesla would offer a mobile auto repair option, reports GM Authority.
“I’m actually really excited about our mobile service,” Musk said during the 2019 Tesla Annual Shareholders Meeting last week. “We have mobile service vans that will come fix your car as soon as it breaks down. We’ll immediately send a note to Tesla mobile service and it will be on its way to fix the car.”
The note Musk is referring to is believed to be an automatic notification sent to the company’s mobile service center via the car’s onboarding sensors. The service will not only offer roadside assistance but bodywork repair as well.
