Car Falls Off Lift and Kills Mechanic

The 46-year-old mechanic died after a Chevy fell onto him.

July 3, 2019—A mechanic at John’s Service in Lodi, N.J. died in a tragic accident yesterday at the auto repair shop he worked at, reports the Daily Voice.

Authorities said the Chevy was on a lift when it fell onto 46-year-old Jason Menniti of Pompton Plains, N.J.

Menniti, whose father owns the business, was later pronounced dead at Hackensack University Medical Center, responders said.
