Houston Receives Autonomous Delivery Vehicle

Houston residents now can get groceries delivered to them by self-driving vehicles.

April 17, 2019—Houston residents now can get groceries delivered to them by self-driving vehicles. According to KHOU-11, Kroger and Nuro have launched autonomous delivery to two zip codes in Houston.

KHOU-11 reports that Kroger and Nuro will utilize Nuro's manual and self-driving Toyota Prius fleet, and later this year will introduce Nuro's custom autonomous vehicle. The vehicles are equipped with cameras, a radar, and a LIDAR, according to KHOU-11

The cars have already made an appearance in Phoenix, KHOU-11 reports.
