Jan. 3, 2019—JumpStart Auto Repair of Neenah, Wis., is now offering a loaner vehicle for customers to use while their vehicle is worked on in the shop, We Are Green Bay reports. Founded by the Harbor House and Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, the garage's mission is to assist clients who are domestic abuse survivors.
“One of the major barriers to maintaining economic independence is transportation,” Harbor House executive director, Beth Schnorr said to We Are Green Bay.
The loaner vehicle was gifted to the organization through the National Auto Body Council's Recycled Rides program, We Are Green Bay reports.
“The Recycled Rides program is one where they work with body shops to get a damaged vehicle donated and then we fix the vehicle and give it to a cause,” said Scott Fabel of Carstar Fabel West.
The business was chosen because a portion of profits are used to provide free or low-cost repair to abuse survivors, We Are Green Bay reports.
“This vehicle they can used as a substitute while their car is being repaired,” Schnorr said to We Are Green Bay.
According to We Are Green Bay, the van was provided by Allstate Insurance.
