Oct. 31, 2017—One of the day’s highlights on Tuesday at AAPEX 2017 in Las Vegas featured the unveiling of the winners in both the new packaging showcase and the new product showcase. That awards ceremony was held at the Sands Expo.
“This is what AAPEX is all about,” said Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association, who helped emcee the award unveilings. “It’s about introducing new products, and new packaging, and making sure that our industry stays relevant, not only today, but in the future.”
The dozen companies that took home awards at the Sands Expo made it clear they were deeply honored. After all, AAPEX features 2,200 exhibiting companies.
“It’s just a validation of the innovation that we’re working on in our company to bring new products to the market,” said Patrick Mallon, director of marketing and innovation for ITW Global Brands, which won an award for its Slime cordless, rechargeable inflator that can fill a tire in around 8 minutes. “It feels good that our innovation was recognized.”
