ASA Honors Identifix Founder Sauer

Oct. 8, 2014

Oct. 8, 2014—Darrell Amberson, chairman for the Automotive Service Association (ASA), presented industry veteran Bill Sauer last week with an American flag and a letter of recognition for his contributions to the automotive industry.

The flag previously flew over the U.S. Capitol by Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) in honor of Sauer.

Sauer is the founder of Identifix, a longtime sponsored benefit provider for ASA members. Sauer recently retired after a 52-year career in the industry.

“Bill’s friendship and support of ASA and its members has been invaluable,” Amberson said in a release. “His passion for automotive repair has helped to increase the standard of professionalism across the entire industry. It was our privilege to recognize him for his lifetime of achievement.”
