Feb. 23, 2015—Denso Corp. has begun to plan construction for a new plant in Cambodia to produce magnetos and oil coolers.

The new plant, located in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone where DENSO Cambodia Co. Ltd. operates its existing plant, will support the increasing vehicle production in the ASEAN region. DENSO’s new facility is scheduled to begin production in March 2016.

The plant is slated to cost around $19 million, and is being built on a 100,000-square-meter plot of land. The new plant is expected to generate 380 additional jobs.
