MANN+HUMMEL Acquires Purolator Filters

April 1, 2013—The MANN+HUMMEL Group, a German filtration company, has acquired Purolator Filters LLC, previously a joint venture between Bosch and MANN+HUMMEL.

The business will stay based in Fayetteville, N.C., but will be re-named MANN+HUMMEL Purolator Filters LLC.

MANN+HUMMEl and Bosch ran the joint venture for more than six years, with MANN+HUMMEL managing the OE business and Bosch handling independent aftermarket (IAM) customers.

IAM customers that have been served by Bosch during the joint venture will be transitioned to MANN+HUMMEL.
