Equipment and Tool Institute Launches Flash Reprograming Research

Jan. 29, 2013

Jan. 29, 2013—The Equipment and Tool Institute (ETI) announced today that it has launched a series of market research projects covering flash reprogramming, or J2534.

The current survey is an update to research completed in 2009 and will be used to assist members in bringing new equipment and tools to the marketplace.

ETI plans to survey automotive repair facilities to gain insight into their familiarity with and use of flash reprogramming tools, as well as any new information involved with flash reprogramming. The research will be used to help provide aftermarket shops with better flash reprogramming solutions.

The survey findings will be presented at ToolTech 2013 in San Diego, Calif. The complete study will be available to all attendees at that time.

If you are part of an automotive repair facility and are interested in participating, the survey can be completed online
