Mother-Daughter Duo Take Over Shop

June 9, 2020—An auto repair shop in Voorheesville, N.Y. welcomes two new owners: a mother-daughter duo, reports The Altamont Enterprise Community.

According to the report, 21-year-old Victoria Carl and her mother, Katy Carl, officially became co-owners of what was known for 38 years as Advanced Auto Repair Service on April 6. Now, they've changed the name to Carl's Advanced Automotive and Truck Repair Center.

Victoria, Katy Carl told the paper, was in 10th grade when she came home from school one day and told her that she wanted to be a diesel mechanic, wanting to enroll in the Capital Region BOCES program, a college focused on careers in trade.
