AYES Announces Mentor Intern Training Dates, Locations

Jan. 28, 2014—The Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) announced Tuesday the locations and dates for its Mentor Intern Train the Trainer sessions.

These sessions prepare people for delivery of the student intern and mentor training curricula such as reporting and evaluation.

Through AYES, qualified high school students who are interested in becoming automotive service technicians are matched up with experienced technicians (mentors) for directed, real world, on-the-job training.

Upcoming training dates and locations are below:

  • March 18, ASE Conference Center in Leesburg, Va.
  • March 22, Mid-Florida Tech in Orlando, Fla.
  • March 31, Hughes Jones Harrodsburg Area Tech Center in Harrodsburg, Ky.
  • April 14, Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Wash.
  • April 17, BMW Training Center in Ontario, Calif.

There is no registration fee or course material fees for participants. Attendees are responsible for any associated travel expenses. Registration can be done online.
