Former Technician Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud

Aug. 3, 2021一A former technician with the Boston Police Department’s Fleet Management Division has agreed to plead guilty in connection with a scheme to embezzle hundreds of thousands of dollars in automotive supplies, MassLive.com reported. 

The man has agreed to plead guilty to two counts of wire fraud. He is accused of scheming to defraud the Fleet Management Division of more than $260,000 in automotive parts, tools and supplies between June 2017 and September 2020. 

Authorities said the man used his position to order parts and supplies that he claimed were for Boston police, but were actually sold to others.
