Sept. 13, 2021—A Pennsylvania auto shop owner has been charged for illegally issuing nearly 900 state inspection stickers, CBS 21 News reported.

According to the report, authorities began an investigation of JC's Auto on Owl Hill Road in Lititz after someone notified them that the business was issuing PA Certificates of Safety Inspection to vehicles without actually performing the safety inspection.

The investigation uncovered inspections that were never performed and the facility lacked tools to perform the inspection. After reviewing records, 899 inspection stickers were found to be issued illegally.
