March 24, 2022—A Houston, Texas, mechanic is using her shop to serve underprivileged families in need of automotive repairs.

Tamara Kasper, owner of Six13, has been using crowdfunding as a means to help families in her community in need of auto repair.

“This area was hit hard during Hurricane Harvey and I really wanted to give back,” she told ABC 7. “During Harvey is when I started using GoFundMe pages to help people fix cars.”

She hopes to create a nonprofit to continue the work.
