Mercedes-Benz Recalls 125K Vehicles for Backup Cameras

May 2, 2022

A software issue is to blame for the recall of some car and SUV models from the years 2018 to 2021.

May 2, 2022—Mercedes-Benz has announced a recall for around 125,000 of their vehicles.

According to Kelley Blue Book, this recall affects some car and SUV models from 2018 to 2021 and is due to a software issue.

This recall includes 2018-2021 models of the following vehicles: CLA, A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, CLS, GLA, GLB, GLC, GLE and GLS.

Documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration by Mercedes state that “the rearview camera may not display the rearview image due to a software error” according to Kelley Blue Book.

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted, and new software can be installed to fix the issue.
