First Quarter EV Sales Up 60%

As gas prices continue to rise with no visible end in sight, consumers are turning to electric vehicles for relief from the pump and a reduction in repair costs.

May 20, 2022—More than 135,000 people have purchased electric vehicles in 2022.

With the national average gas price sitting at $4.52— $6 in places like California—people are footing the expensive upfront cost of electric vehicles with the hopes of saving money down the line in gas and repairs, stated a Fox WTVU report.

Fully charged electric cars can travel up 350 miles and charging stations are becoming more prevalent as legislation and demand for them increase.
