June 17, 2022—A fire at G-Works Automotive in Kinston, North Carolina, is believed to have been started by a dissatisfied customer.

According to WITN, Kinston police charged Willie McPhail with eight counts of felony burning of personal property and one count of burning of certain buildings.

Police are working on gathering a solid motive for the crime, but they have reason to believe that McPhail was an unhappy customer of the shop. They also searched the 51-year-old man's home and found additional evidence to support their investigation.

After the fire was reported at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, firefighters were able to successfully get the flames under control and the building sustained minor damage.
