634K Ford Vehicles Recalled Over Fire Risks

According to reports, there are no deaths linked to the recall and Ford is not telling owners to stop driving vehicles under this recall, only have them inspected.

Nov. 28, 2022—After identifying a fire risk from possible fuel injectors, Ford has issued a recall for 634,000 SUVs globally stating that owners should have the vehicles inspected.

As reported by Reuters, the automaker stated the recall covers 2020-2023 model year Bronco Sport and Escape SUVs with 3-cylinder, 1.5-liter engines that were previously recalled last April. No injuries or fatalities have been reported and Ford isn’t issuing a do not drive mandate.

Also, according to the report, 54 total cases of 1.5-liter under-hood fire have been reported to the automaker.
