Hyundai’s Apple Watch App Lets Drivers Control Features Hands-Free

July 7, 2015—The recent update to Hyundai’s Blue Link app will allow drivers to check the time and start their cars with a flick of a wrist, according to a report by USA Today. The app is compatible with the Apple Watch, and allows drivers to control several features of their car hands-free.

The watch allows users to remotely start and stop cars, and lock and unlock doors. The app also helps drivers find their vehicles with remote “flash lights” and “honk horn” options, as well as a “find my car” feature. Drivers can also check vehicle’s service status with updated vehicle information sent to their smartphones.

The watch application, available for download through Apple’s App Store, will be able to control features on all Hyundai models equipped with the first- and second-generation Blue Link technology, including the Sonata, Genesis, Sonata and Azera models.
