June 20, 2014—The Auto International Association (AIA) announced Thursday it is accepting nominations for its 2014 AIA People Awards.
The awards—which include the Hall of Fame Award, Lifetime Industry Achievement Award, Young Executive of the Year and the Peter Klotz AIA Person of the Year awards—aim to honor individuals in the import auto care industry.
The AIA is a segment of the Auto Care Association, which represents independent manufacturers, distributors, motor vehicle parts sellers, and those who perform vehicle service and repair.
“AIA takes pride in recognizing our industry’s key leaders through our programs and events,” said Steve Bearden, chairman of AIA. “Our annual awards program is a wonderful forum to recognize those individuals who have made great contributions to our industry. We encourage nominations in any category for which you are aware of a deserving candidate.”
The awards will be presented on Nov. 5 at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
Nomination forms are due by July 31 and are available at autocare.org/impact.
