CCAR, ShipMate Launch New GHS Course

June 11, 2014—The Coordinating Committee for Automotive Repair (CCAR) and ShipMate Inc. announced Tuesday the launch of a new safety course on their education site.

The course, Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Communication Standard, is geared toward those who handle chemicals including oil, coolant, paint and more.

The courses now offered on the site, shipmate.autoehs.com, include:

  • Surface Transportation of Automotive Hazardous Materials (available in English and in Spanish)
  • Surface Transportation of Automotive Dangerous Goods - Canada (available in Englishand in French)
  • Multimodal Transportation of Automotive Dangerous Goods (available in English and in Spanish) 
  • Transport of Automotive Hazardous Materials for Managers
  • Transport of Automotive Hazardous Materials for Service Technicians
  • Transport of Automotive Hazardous Materials for Parts Technicians & Analysts
  • Transport of Automotive Hazardous Materials for Drivers 
  • GHS Hazard Communication Standard
