Student Auto Skills National Winners Announced

June 13, 2014

June 13, 2014—The winners of the 65th Annual Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills National Finals, held at the Ford World Headquarters, were announced Wednesday, according to a AAA release.

Justin Bulitz and Colt Morris of Grafton High School in Grafton, Wis., competed against 49 other teams—totalling 98 students—from around the country to claim the top prize at the competition.

The duo earned a “perfect car” score after making all necessary repairs to a 2014 Ford Fusion SE. All competing students used identical cars with the same glitches and repair issues at the event. Each student also took a written exam for the competition, which was also a factor in announcing a winner.

The Wisconsin won an all-expenses paid trip to the Wood Brothers Racing facility with their instructor and will attend a race as VIPs. They will also meet drive Trevor Bayne.
