June 23, 2014—Two industry events will consolidate into one this year at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), which takes place Nov. 3–6 in Las Vegas.
The Town Hall breakfast, which is hosted by the Auto Care Association (ACA), and the Executive Breakfast, which is hosted by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), will become one event. The new event will be called General Session and will take place Nov. 5.
“We are responding to event fatigue that is experienced by our members and others throughout the industry, as time has become a more precious commodity,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO of the ACA. “Every product has a life cycle and we had a great run with our Town Hall breakfast. But it’s time for a fresh event that can accommodate more AAPEX attendees.”
The General Session take place from 8–8:50 a.m. on Nov. 5, a Wednesday, in The Venetian Palazzo Ballroom. The General Session keynote speaker will be Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media.
