June 17, 2017—The Auto Care Association (ACA) announced Thursday that the ACA and the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) have selected the 2016 recipients of the Auto Care Internship Scholarship.
Four students will receive $2,500 to help cover the costs of round-trip travel from their permanent address to the internship location, lodging, utilities and food while they pursue internships to gain real-world education in a variety of auto care careers.
The recipients were chosen by a selection committee that included members of the AWDA, ACA Education Committee and the Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG).
The 2016 recipients are:
- Alesandra D’Agostino, Livonia, Mich.; Northwood University; interning at Bosch in Broadview, Ill.
- Brenna Murphy, Midland, Mich.; Northwood University; interning at Bosch in Broadview, Ill.
- Ryan Thurston, Midland, Mich.; Northwood University; interning at KYB in San Diego, Calif.
- Yimin Wu, Jiangsu, China; Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa; interning at GCommerce in Des Moines, Iowa
