May 13, 2015—Snap-on announced on Wednesday that it has released the ETHOS Tech (EESC321) full-function scan tool.
The tool also comes with a support package that includes three years of software upgrades and a three year extended warranty.
Snap-on said the tool is designed to put affordable full-function diagnostics into the hands of technicians who want their own scan tool. ETHOS Tech offers codes, data, functional tests, bidirectional controls, adaptations, relearns and service resets for 1996-newer vehicles. It also includes OEM-specific coverage for 76 systems on 46 domestic, Asian and European makes. The tool covers new technology such as TPMS hybrids, suspension and steering sensor.
The ETHOS Tech settings include save/playback live data, custom data lists, minimum maximum triggers, graph zoom in/out and automatic vehicle ID.
The tool is on a five and a half inch color touch screen and gives users the ability to compare seven live data parameters on screen at once.
ETHOS Tech automatically boots up in only 10 seconds when connected to a vehicle and powers from the vehicle.
